F05010 - Still life, vase with a bouquet of anemone flowers made by Dutch master Emanuel van der Ven (1866 – 1944).  Oil on canvas. Clearly signed lower right “E. van der Ven”.

This painting is not free of damage, there are four small holes in the canvas, two at the top and two at the bottom of the painting. Still this painting is a beautiful piece of art.

Manus van der Ven was born with painting as the son of the painter Emanuel Adrianus Henricus van der Ven. It was first in 1904, when he was thirty-eight years, before he established himself as an independent artist in Laren (Holland). His subjects include landscapes, figure scenes, portraits, still lifes, flowers and cityscapes. One can find his work in the Singer Museum in Laren and in the National Collection.
